(Namjoon) , what is the story behind this trend in X?

03-09-2026

The current “Namjoon” surge on X is about RM following Korean actress Ahn Eun-jin (@eunjin___a) on Instagram.

Fans noticed the follow and immediately started posting about it. Reactions split into a few camps:
  • Jokes and memes treating it like a dating rumor or “butt follow”
  • People flooding her comments
  • Others telling everyone to calm down because he’s a 31-year-old adult who can follow an actress he likes
Some posts assume it was accidental (he was stalking her profile and hit follow by mistake). Others note that he still hasn’t unfollowed her hours later. A few fans are also pointing out that this kind of overreaction is exactly why BTS members rarely follow people outside the group.

Ahn Eun-jin is a working actress known for roles in dramas like A Love Other Than Yours. There’s no confirmation from either side that the follow means anything beyond “he likes her work or her account.” The frenzy is just ARMY doing what ARMY does when Namjoon interacts with anyone new online.
