The “Boots” buzzing on social media right now is Jaron “Boots” Ennis, the undefeated Philadelphia boxer and current unified junior-middleweight champion. athlonsports.comLast night (September 4) he and retired all-time great Terence “Bud” Crawford got into a heated, live on-air argument during the Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Damian Knyba broadcast. An anchor asked Ennis if Crawford would be “easy work.” Ennis doubled down, saying no one in the sport can do what he does and that he’d call anyone “easy work.” Crawford pushed back. Clips of the exchangeand extra footage of them still going after the cameras cutspread immediately on X and boxing accounts. @YunuszrlThis isn’t a new feud. After Ennis stopped Xander Zayas in June to add two more titles, Crawford posted a cryptic tweet and later said he was “10 steps ahead” of Ennis in ring IQ. Ennis has generally dismissed the comments as coming from a retired fighter. The on-air clash just brought the simmering debate back to the surface and gave fans fresh highlight clips to argue over. athlonsports.comThat’s the story driving the “Boots” mentions today.
