(#precure) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
06-09-2026
The hashtag is trending because the current Pretty Cure television series, Star Detective Precure (also known as Meitantei Precure), aired its 32nd episode this morning in Japan. The episode, titled “I’m Home, Cure Detective Agency,” follows Ruruka after she leaves the Phantom Thieves and begins spending time at the patisserie where one of the other girls works. A new case unfolds when a customer’s birthday present containing a special jewel is stolen from the shop terrace, prompting the girls to investigate the three customers present at the time.Viewers have been discussing the episode’s character moments, Ruruka’s new everyday life and personal policy of not interrupting people enjoying ice cream, her appearance in a dog costume in some scenes, newly shown Future Forms of the Cures, and updated opening footage that includes her singing. These developments, coming after recent episodes that introduced her as Cure Arcana and explored her past, have generated a wave of fan posts, screenshots, clips, and speculation about how the team of four will move forward together. The Sunday-morning Precure slot regularly draws live commentary, and the combination of a newly integrated character, fresh transformation visuals, and a light mystery plot has pushed the franchise hashtag to the top of social-media trends today. Upcoming film and live-event promotions are adding extra energy, but the immediate spark is this week’s broadcast.
