(#kpss) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
06-09-2026
KPSS is Turkey’s nationwide Public Personnel Selection Examination, the main gateway for graduates who want civil-service jobs. On 6 September 2026 the first and largest session of the 2026 cyclethe undergraduate General Ability and General Culture testtook place. More than 1.7 million candidates sat the 120-question paper in 145 centres across every province plus Lefkoşa.As soon as the exam ended, candidates poured onto social media to compare notes. Many described the Turkish and mathematics sections as unexpectedly demanding and time-consuming, while others said geography and current-affairs items felt trickier than in recent years. Humorous complaints, last-minute-arrival stories, and guesses about how many questions they had actually answered correctly quickly turned the hashtag into the day’s dominant conversation. Results are scheduled for 7 October and will remain valid for two years. Further specialised sessions follow later in September and October, so the discussion is expected to continue as each group finishes its paper.
