A video clip from the US Open has circulated widely across social media. After Carlos Alcaraz won his third-round match, he changed his shirt on court. Cameras and phones in the stands captured groups of women in the crowd immediately pulling out their devices to record him, smiling and reacting as he did so.The footage spread rapidly and drew millions of views. Discussion quickly focused on perceived double standards: many comments argued that the same scene with the genders reversedmen filming a female player changingwould have been widely condemned as inappropriate or creepy. Others treated it as a light, humorous moment after a match. The debate mixed amusement, criticism of the spectators, and broader talk about how crowds treat male versus female athletes.Alcaraz’s clothing choices during the tournament added extra attention. He had been wearing a loose tank top that frequently rode up or shifted during play, prompting jokes and extra coverage of his appearance. After the viral clip, he joked about seeing “too many of his own nipples” in recent days and began layering another shirt underneath. The combination of the on-court change, the crowd’s immediate filming, and the gender-reversal arguments turned the moment into the main Alcaraz-related talking point online.
