The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) reported conducting targeted operations against militant positions in Dioura and Ouan, claiming to have neutralized dozens of combatants and destroyed bases following an attack by the al-Qaeda-aligned group Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM).The overall security environment remains tense due to continued armed activity and coordinated pressure by JNIM and the Tuareg-led Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) across central and northern areas, while the military government under Assimi Goïta continues counteroffensive operations alongside Russian Africa Corps forces to maintain control over strategic transport corridors and urban centers.
