During a freshman/sophomore football game on Thursday afternoon between North East High School (Cecil County, Maryland) and Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, a visiting North East player suffered a serious injury.Emergency responders were dispatched to Calvert Hall’s athletic field around 5:40 p.m. Due to the severity of the injury, the student-athlete was flown via Maryland State Police helicopter (Trooper 1) to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for emergency care.Representatives from Calvert Hall expressed their prayers and support for the injured player, his family, and the North East High School community. Following hospital evaluation, the player’s mother shared an encouraging update, stating that his CT scan looked clear, though doctors scheduled an MRI on his spine to further evaluate back and neck pain.
