According to the report from KMVT:Around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, a Twin Falls County sheriff’s deputy spotted a pickup truck traveling northbound on Highway 93 through a construction zone at approximately 100 mph. When the deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver accelerated, ran stop signs, and drove recklessly before the deputy lost sight of the vehicle.A second deputy located the truck and pursued it. During the chase, the second deputy’s patrol vehicle crashed into an unrelated pickup truck that was stopped in the road near the intersection of 2500 East and 3700 North.The driver of the stopped pickup was uninjured, while the deputy suffered mild injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police, and authorities are continuing to search for the driver who fled.
