During the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup final between Team USA and France, Caitlin Clark was left in shock and disbelief after being assessed a technical foul in the fourth quarter.While Team USA led 73-57, Clark was called for an offensive foul. Displaying visible displeasure, she held onto the ball and briefly motioned as if she might slam it onto the court before stopping herself and handing it to an official. Despite not slamming the ball, she received her first technical foul of the tournamentcontinuing a trend from her WNBA play where she leads the league in technical fouls. A bewildered Clark repeatedly mouthed “For what?” in response to the referee’s decision.
