The report details an incident in Chatham County, Georgia, where local police are searching for a man accused of trespassing, strange behavior, and theft at a private residence.According to the Chatham County Police Department:

• The Incident: Between 2:15 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on September 1, surveillance cameras caught an unidentified man trespassing onto a residential property on the 9000 block of Whitefield Avenue.
• The Interaction: The suspect went for a swim in the homeowner’s pool before moving into the hot tub. While in the hot tub, he discovered a rubber duck toy and appeared to become “infatuated” and “obsessed” with it. Security footage captured him spending more than 10 minutes “intensely interacting” with the toy, at one point holding it close to his face. Police noted the incident carried a high “ick-factor” and want to locate him so he does not repeat the behavior elsewhere.
• The Theft and Escape: Before leaving the scene on a bicycle, the suspect stole six luxury pool towels valued at roughly $200 each (a total value of $1,200). Surveillance video showed the stolen towels loaded into a basket attached to the bike.

Authorities released surveillance images of the suspect and appealed to the public for help in identifying him.
