A brand-new Snoopy balloon is set to take flight in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The giant balloon features Snoopy’s famously laid-back persona, “Joe Cool,” wearing a red sweater and sunglasses while holding his sidekick Woodstock tucked under his arm. Inspired by Snoopy’s daydream of being the coolest beagle on campus, the balloon debuted at Gansevoort Plaza in Manhattan. According to Macy’s officials, the sunglasses on the balloon are about 40 times the size of a normal pair, and he would require a doghouse roughly 45 feet high to fit inside. This follows the Beagle Scout Snoopy balloon featured in 2025 and coincides with a free exhibit titled “Snoopy in Style NYC” celebrating Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic.
