(#DDKgöreveKPSSincelensin) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?

16-09-2026

The hashtag emerged after the 2026 KPSS Lisans exam held on 6 September. ÖSYM later announced that irregularities violating exam rules were found in 22 rooms at Harran University’s Osmanbey Campus in Şanlıurfa. Those problems were linked to traffic disruptions and other issues on exam morning and were said to have affected 392 candidates.ÖSYM decided that only those 392 people would sit an equivalent (make-up) exam so they would not be disadvantaged. The rest of the more than 1.7 million candidates would keep the scores from the original sitting. Many candidates viewed the limited remedy as unfair. They argued that if rules were broken in one location, the integrity of the entire exam should be reviewed rather than a small group being given a second chance. Some also feared the decision created two different standards and that other possible problems might go unexamined. The campaign therefore calls for the State Supervisory Board (DDK) to open a full investigation, echoing the 2022 KPSS episode when similar allegations led the presidency to task DDK with an inquiry. Supporters want either a complete cancellation and re-sit for everyone or an independent audit that covers the whole process, not only the identified rooms. The demand is framed as a matter of equal treatment and public trust in the exam that determines public-sector hiring.
