Khamzat Chimaev can become a three-division UFC champion, claims Gilbert Burns, tell me about this news in (https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/khamzat-chimaev-become-three-division-031500357.html)

In the article published via Yahoo Sports (originating from MMA Weekly), former UFC title challenger Gilbert Burns offered high praise for his past rival, Khamzat Chimaev, stating that Chimaev has the capability to become the first-ever three-division champion in UFC history if he makes some key adjustments.

Here are the key points from the news:

• Assessment of Potential: Ahead of a scheduled wrestling match between the two, Burns stated that Chimaev is still young, fresh, and possesses elite physical skills. Because of those abilities, Burns believes Chimaev has what it takes to bounce back and potentially capture belts across two or three weight classes.

• The Main Critique (Coaching Stability): Burns noted from an outside perspective that Chimaev’s frequent changes of training camps and coaches have held him back. Burns recalled that when they fought each other at UFC 273, Chimaev had a smaller, tight-knit coaching structure in Sweden led by a “solid general,” which worked much better for him.

• Avoiding “Yes-Men”: Burns emphasized that Chimaev needs a dedicated, disciplined corner that will not act like “yes-men”meaning coaches who are willing to give him hard truths, dictate proper strategy, and keep his mindset sharp rather than simply catering to him.

Burns concluded that with his mental game dialed in and a stable, authoritative coaching team around him, Chimaev can still dominate the sport and achieve historic multiple-division championship status.
