The article from Football365 reports on Liverpool’s pursuit of Chelsea’s young Brazilian right-winger, Estevao Willian:
Liverpool’s Pursuit: Liverpool have established contact with the agents of 19-year-old Estevao Willian, attempting to convince him to walk away from discussions regarding a new contract with Chelsea and instead push for a move to Anfield.
Player’s Discontent: Reports via ESPN Brasil indicate that Estevao has grown frustrated with his lack of playing time under Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso, having featured for only 20 minutes in the Premier League so far in the campaign. He feels more suited to central attacking areas, which are currently occupied by players like Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers, and he is reluctant to play as a wide wing-back or bulk up to compete with Pedro Neto out wide. If his minutes do not improve, he may consider seeking an exit in the January transfer window.
Chelsea’s Stance: Chelsea have no intention of selling him. Journalist Dean Jones reported that Chelsea plan to reward the teenager with an improved contract to underline their commitment and manage his long-term adaptation to English football.
