According to the report, the Delhi High Court granted jailed gangster Neeraj Sehrawat, alias Neeraj Bawana, a six-hour custody parole to visit his wife and newborn children in the hospital.
Key details of the case:
Reason for the Plea: Neeraj Bawana had moved the court seeking interim bail on humanitarian grounds. His wife had undergone emergency surgery, delivering premature triplets at around 27 weeks. Tragically, one of the infants died shortly after birth, while the other two surviving babies were admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) requiring critical medical support (including CPAP and ventilator care).
Court’s Decision: Due to security concerns, his classification as a high-risk prisoner, and risks associated with gang rivalries, the court rejected his request for regular interim bail. Instead, it allowed him a temporary, strictly monitored custody parole of six hours under tight police security to visit his hospitalized family.
