(#DUSU6412) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
18-09-2026
The hashtag refers to the Delhi University Students Union elections taking place today. NSUI, the Congress-affiliated student organization, adopted 6412 as its panel code for the four central posts of president, vice president, secretary and joint secretary. Campaign videos and slogans have repeated the number as a simple identifier so voters can remember and mark the NSUI slate on the ballot. DUSU polls are an annual, high-visibility contest on the university’s large campus. They pit NSUI against the RSS-linked ABVP, with smaller left alliances also in the field. Voting occurs today and counting is scheduled for tomorrow. The number 6412 has therefore circulated as a compact campaign chant on the day students cast their votes.
