According to reports regarding the rollover crash on Aurora’s Far East Side:
Location & Time: The incident occurred at the intersection of East New York Street and North Eola Road in Aurora, Illinois.
Incident Details: A four-vehicle crash occurred when a 2017 Dodge Challenger traveling westbound on East New York Street attempted to change lanes and turn onto North Eola Road. The 19-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, colliding with three southbound vehiclesa 2002 Toyota Camry, a 2017 Nissan Rogue, and a 2018 Honda Accordbefore rolling over.
Victims: The driver of the Toyota Camry, identified as 44-year-old Gerardo Cuatzo of Aurora, suffered severe, life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. Two other individuals were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.
Investigation & Charges: The driver of the Challenger was initially cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, while the Aurora Police Department’s Traffic Division conducted a full investigation into the fatal collision.
