Frankie Muniz’s estranged wife, Paige Price Muniz, posted a cryptic message on social media shortly after the actor opened up publicly about hitting an emotional low point following their recent separation.

Hours after Muniz shared his thoughts online, Paige posted a video to her Instagram Story showing herself making a black wax seal, set to an acoustic version of the Goo Goo Dolls’ song “Iris.” Over the clip, she wrote:

“Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector.”

Earlier that day, the 40-year-old Malcolm in the Middle star shared an emotional message accompanied by a photo of himself sitting alone on a couch (a photo originally taken by Paige when they were together).

In his post, Muniz described the prior six weeks as a “nightmare” where everything felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at once. However, he noted that reaching this low point forced him to do deep self-reflection and confront parts of himself that needed work, viewing “hitting rock bottom” as an opportunity to rebuild:

“This isn’t the end of the story. It’s the part where I start doing the work… the uncomfortable, unglamorous, necessary work. I’m choosing to treat this season as the foundation, not the finish line.”
