According to reports from the Iowa State Patrol, a 22-year-old man from Bayard, Iowa, identified as Brendan Bork, died following a two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon, September 18, 2026, in Guthrie County.

The crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. at the rural intersection of Justice Road and 130th Street. Bork was driving a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport heading westbound on 130th Street when he failed to yield at a stop sign. His vehicle was struck broadside by a northbound 2006 International semi-truck driven by 65-year-old Jimmy Hansen of Coin, Iowa.

Following the impact, both the Jeep and the semi-truck came to rest in the west ditch north of the intersection. Bork, who was wearing a seat belt and was the sole occupant of the Jeep, was pronounced dead at the scene. Hansen was transported by Panora EMS to a hospital in Guthrie Center with suspected minor injuries.
