During the historic 2026 Chicago Cubs season, young outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong (PCA) put on an extraordinary performance, hitting his 43rd and 44th home runs during a game against the Atlanta Braves. With his 43rd home run, he surpassed Hall of Famer Billy Williams’ longstanding franchise record from 1970 for the most home runs hit in a single season by a left-handed hitter in Cubs history. Williams’ milestone mark had stood for decades, and PCA’s achievement highlights his remarkable breakout campaign, stellar defensive play in center field, and strong case for National League MVP.
