The U.S. military conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a high-speed vessel operating along established drug-trafficking routes in the Caribbean Sea, resulting in the deaths of four individuals identified by officials as “narco-terrorists.”

According to the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), the operation was carried out under its direction by the Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere after intelligence confirmed the vessel’s active involvement in drug smuggling. This event is part of an ongoing campaign by the Trump administration targeting cartel-linked networks in Latin America and the Caribbean, which has drawn both defense justifications regarding national security and criticism from human rights groups and international legal experts questioning the legality and lack of public evidence surrounding the strikes.
