Following a quiet Week 1 performance where he was limited to two catches for 12 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase bounced back with a highlight-reel play against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

After a scoreless first quarter dominated by both defenses, the Bengals took over following a defensive fourth-down stop. Quarterback Joe Burrow orchestrated an 81-yard scoring drive, punctuated on first-and-10 from the Houston 32-yard line. Burrow launched a jump ball down the sideline into single coverage against Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. Chase contorted his body in mid-air, hauled in the pass, and tapped both feet down in the end zone to secure his first touchdown of the season, giving Cincinnati a 7-3 advantage going into halftime.
