• Standard iPhone 18 / iPhone 18e: The base models were omitted from the September keynote and are expected to arrive in spring 2027.

The iPhone 18e is Apple’s upcoming entry-level model, serving as the budget-friendly tier in the iPhone 18 family.

Key details based on Apple’s updated roadmap and supply chain reports:

• Release Timing: Apple split its launch cadence for the 18 generation, holding back lower-cost devices from the September 2026 event. The iPhone 18e is slated to launch in spring 2027 (likely March) alongside the standard base iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2.

• Positioning & Price: It replaces the previous “e” / SE-tier models, aimed at users looking for a modern iPhone without paying flagship prices. It is expected to target the $599 – $699 price bracket.

• Display & Form Factor: It is expected to feature a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Face ID, maintaining a compact footprint. Like previous entry tiers, it will likely retain a standard 60Hz refresh rate rather than 120Hz ProMotion.

• Processor & Memory: Powered by a version of Apple’s A20 chip paired with 9 GB to 12 GB of RAM, ensuring full support for on-device Apple Intelligence features.

• Cameras: It is expected to carry a single or streamlined dual-lens setup headlined by a 48MP Fusion main sensor, skipping the Pro models’ variable-aperture lens and dedicated telephoto.

• Connectivity: Expected to integrate Apple’s in-house C-series 5G modem and USB-C connectivity.
