Break 'a kick in the teeth' for Barnet – Brennan, tell me about this news in (https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cmkgwp08n0djo)

Barnet manager Dean Brennan shared that the upcoming international break has come at an inconvenient time for his unbeaten side, describing the disruption as “a bit of a kick in the teeth.”

Barnet recently secured a 3-1 victory over Fleetwood Town, keeping them at the top of League Two with 15 points from seven matches. However, their momentum faces an unexpected pause, as their upcoming fixtures against Crawley Town and York City had to be postponed due to international call-ups.

Despite the frustration of the break, Brennan highlighted it as a mark of the club’s significant progress, pointing out that having four players away on international duty has never happened in Barnet’s history. He expressed pride in how far the club has come in a short period and voiced hope that their strong form will continue once play resumes.
