(#ApontaPeão) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
22-09-2026
#ApontaPeão is the official hashtag for a live pointing and exposure dynamic on the current season of the Brazilian reality show A Fazenda. In the program, contestants are called peões. During tonight’s episode the host gathered them for a confrontation-style game in which they had to publicly point to another contestant and justify the choice. The pointing immediately triggered revelations: who had spoken badly about whom, who was suspected of sabotaging a challenge, and which alliances were fracturing. One contestant was pointed at for the third consecutive time; another discovered in real time that a housemate had been talking behind their back.Viewers watching the live broadcast adopted the hashtag to comment on the accusations, the host’s remarks to the group, and the resulting arguments inside the house. That combination of on-air drama and simultaneous audience reaction is what pushed the tag into the day’s social-media conversation.
