This article from Chronicle Live (written by Chief Newcastle United Writer Lee Ryder) reports on Newcastle United’s squad returning to full fitness ahead of their upcoming Premier League fixture against Coventry City following the international break:

• William Osula’s Return: The 23-year-old Danish forward is set to be back in contention after being sidelined for a month with a foot injury suffered prior to the Liverpool match. His return provides manager Matthias Jaissle with extra attacking depth alongside options like Yoane Wissa and Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

• The “£158m Embarrassment of Riches”: The figure refers to Newcastle’s stacked midfield. With Nico Gonzalez returning from concussion and Joelinton also ready to make his comeback, Jaissle will have roughly £158 million worth of midfield talent competing for selection alongside Joe Willock, Jacob Ramsey, Sean Steur, and Lewis Miley.

• Defensive Boost: Dan Burn is expected to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from an ankle injury, having moved out of his cast and targeting the Coventry match. Amar Dedic is also aiming to return from a hamstring problem to bolster the back line.

• Extra Recovery Window: Newcastle’s match away to Coventry City was rescheduled for Monday Night Football, providing the squad and players returning from international duty extra days of preparation and recovery.
