Thousands of Iranian-Americans and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) gathered in New York City near the United Nations headquarters during the high-level UN General Assembly gatherings.

The demonstrators voiced strong opposition to the clerical regime in Tehran and called for international action against human rights violations and executions in Iran. Driven heavily by a younger generation of activists, the rally emphasized a rejection of both the current theocracy and any return to past authoritarian rule, advocating instead for a democratic, secular republic based on human rights, gender equality, and self-determination. Prominent political figures and human rights advocates also addressed the crowds, urging the global community to stand with the Iranian people and recognize organized internal resistance movements.
