A 32-year-old man named Md Waseem was stabbed to death by two of his associates in the Upparpally area of Hyderabad along the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway.
The incident occurred after an argument broke out between Waseem and his associates, identified by police as Sohail (also referred to as Shoaib) and Ilyas. CCTV footage from the scene showed a confrontation involving multiple men, which escalated when the suspects repeatedly attacked, kicked, and stabbed Waseem with knives before fleeing. Waseem suffered severe injuries and succumbed while being transported to the hospital.
According to Rajendranagar ACP T. Srinivas, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects believed Waseem was an informant leaking information to the police regarding their alleged ganja (cannabis) sales and drug-peddling operations. Police noted that both the victim and the accused had prior records related to drug-peddling cases. Authorities registered a murder case, reviewed surveillance footage to map the sequence of events, and deployed special teams to locate and apprehend the suspects.
