The Bamberg County event, organized to support local military veterans and their families, saw a large community turnout as volunteers distributed essential groceries and household staples. Coordinated through local veteran advocacy groups and community partners, the drive aimed to address food insecurity among former service members, many of whom face rising living costs. Organizers noted that the high participation highlights both the ongoing need for direct assistance in rural areas and the community’s commitment to ensuring veterans receive practical support.
