(#millitakım) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
26-09-2026
The hashtag refers to the Turkish national football team and is trending because of their UEFA Nations League match against France, which took place today at Kocaeli Stadium. Turkey hosted the newly appointed French side in the opening fixture of the group stage and lost 0-1. France’s goal came from Kylian Mbappé in the second half; he was later substituted after appearing to pick up an injury. Turkey created several chances but could not convert them, and the match also featured a late red card for the Turkish goalkeeper. After the final whistle, discussion focused on the result, individual player performances, the coach’s remarks that the team had simply needed a goal, and the broader start to the new Nations League campaign following the recent World Cup.
