(#SmackDown) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
26-09-2026
The hashtag is trending because Friday Night SmackDown just aired from Indianapolis and delivered several high-stakes matches on the road to Money in the Bank. The show opened with a steel cage match for the United States Championship in which Trick Williams retained against Baron Corbin after a hard-hitting brawl that featured outside interference involving Lil Yachty and the cage door. Later, Lash Legend scored a surprise victory over Charlotte Flair and Giulia in a women’s Money in the Bank qualifier, continuing a pattern of newer names earning spots in the ladder match. A six-woman tag saw Fatal Influence defeat Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton and Paige after Nikki Bella interfered. The main event was a men’s Money in the Bank qualifier pitting CM Punk against Gunther and Finn Bálor. Punk won the match and the qualification, then shared a handshake with Bálor afterward. That finish, combined with Bálor once again coming up short in a big spot, generated the strongest immediate discussion among viewers as the episode ended. Additional segments involving Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton demanding airtime, and Worlds Collide buildup the following night added to the overall conversation.
