Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi met at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi. This full commission meeting took place amid a row sparked by media reports claiming that commissioners Sandhu and Joshi had faced internal disagreements and raised objections to decisions regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Following the meeting, the Election Commission issued a press note addressing internal functioning, announcing decisions on voter enrollment and the extension of SIR dates, and clarifying its position on matters related to the commission.
