An unusual incident took place at a liquor shop in Ranchi’s Ormanjhi Chowk, where a monkey entered the store and consumed half a bottle of vodka.

When the monkey initially barged in, the staff tried to shoo it away and even attempted to distract it by offering biscuits. However, the animal managed to pick up a bottle of vodka, open it, and drink about half of it. Shortly after consuming the alcohol, the monkey grew drowsy, lay down on a carton of liquor inside the shop, and passed out.

Bystanders and customers were left astonished, recording the unusual scene on their mobile phones while the monkey slept off its hangover. According to locals and shopkeepers, the animal had previously been spotted over the past few days licking leftover alcohol from discarded bottles.
