A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 44-year-old woman named Leanne Park in Darlington. Emergency services were called to a property in Parkgate on the evening of Wednesday, September 23, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Andrew Bell, of Darlington, has been charged with murder and remanded in police custody to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court. Additionally, a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Leanne Park’s family paid tribute to her, describing her as the “life and soul” as a mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, and stating that her death has left them completely devastated.
