The news report details a hit-and-run incident that occurred late Saturday night on Delhi’s Dwarka Expressway:
A speeding Mahindra Thar collided with a motorcycle carrying two riders. Dashcam footage from a car traveling behind captured the SUV abruptly cutting across multiple lanes and squeezing into a narrow gap before crashing into the bike. The impact threw both the rider and pillion passenger onto the road, but because both were wearing helmets, they narrowly escaped severe harm and sustained only minor injuries.
Instead of stopping to assist the victims, the Thar driver accelerated and fled the scene immediately. Further checks on the vehicle’s registration showed a prior history of reckless driving violations, including jumping red lights. Authorities reviewed the viral footage to identify and trace the driver.
