27-09-2026
The hashtag refers to a controversy that erupted immediately after the premiere of the Indian reality competition series Rise and Fall 2. The show divides contestants into a privileged “Rulers” group living in a penthouse and a struggling “Workers” group in a basement, with players competing for power and position.Siwet Tomar entered as one of the early penthouse contestants. During an argument on the first night, fellow contestant Shehzad Poonawalla publicly accused him of hypocrisyspecifically of invoking Sanatan values for popularity and then switching sides when convenient. Instead of responding face-to-face, Siwet is reported to have grabbed Shehzad from behind, tearing his kurta. Shehzad did not physically retaliate.Viewers immediately labeled the sneak attack cowardly. The phrase “spineless Siwet” spread as shorthand for someone who postures as principled yet resorts to an ambush when called out. Reports also circulated that Siwet was removed from the show shortly afterward because of the physical incident. The trend therefore captures audience outrage over perceived two-faced behavior and an unwillingness to confront criticism directly.
