On Sunday morning, September 27, 2026, New York City police responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious person inside Central Park.
Emergency responders arrived around 9:45 a.m. near 71st Street along the park’s East Drive, where they discovered an unidentified woman, believed to be in her 60s. Authorities reported that she had sustained multiple traumatic injuries to her body and was unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pronounced her dead at the scene.
