Following their decisive 52-28 victory over Ole Miss at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, the Florida Gators surged 13 spots in the AP Top 25 college football poll to reach No. 8 in the rankings.
Key details of the story:
Florida’s Huge Leap: The 13-spot jump marks one of the biggest single-week rises in the poll this season, vaulting Florida into the top 10 for the first time since early in the 2021 season.
Game Impact: The Gators dominated the matchup against the previously top-five ranked Rebels, pulling away with a commanding 24-point win driven by an explosive offensive showing that included over 300 rushing yards and multiple touchdowns from running back Jadan Baugh.
Ole Miss Drops: With the loss in Gainesville, Ole Miss fell five spots to No. 9 in the updated rankings.
SEC Top 10 Presence: The shift places both teams inside the top 10 of a heavily contested SEC, joining top-ranked programs like Texas, Georgia, and Alabama.
