Former Crime Intelligence Deputy Head Major General Feroz Khan was scheduled to appear before the Madlanga Commission, but failed to attend or log in remotely as previously arranged by an independent psychiatrist.

Because of his non-appearance, the chairperson of the Commission, retired Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, refused a postponement application brought by his legal team and ordered that criminal charges be pursued against him for defying a subpoena. Part of his upcoming testimony is expected to be heard in camera, and his appearance has been scheduled for next week Tuesday, October 6.
