Rock legend Sir Rod Stewart has announced that he is retiring from touring after a career spanning more than six decades, confirming that his upcoming 2027 trek titled “The Final Encore” will officially be his last rock ‘n’ roll tour ever.
The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee stated that while he is not giving up music entirely, the time has come to say farewell to the road. The announcement follows a health setback earlier in the year that required him to undergo a coronary stent procedure and cancel his remaining 2026 tour dates, though he has since been on the mend.
“The Final Encore” tour is set to kick off in April 2027 in Dublin, Ireland, taking him across the UK and Europe through July 2027 with support from artists like Howard Jones, bringing a legendary chapter of live performances to a close.
