Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a dislocated right thumb during the team’s 23-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter when Mayfield hit his hand on Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman’s arm while scrambling and throwing a desperation pass on a fourth-down play.

Head coach Todd Bowles announced that Mayfield is expected to miss at least three weeks. With Mayfield sidelined, the winless Buccaneers are set to turn to undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels. Daniels briefly replaced Mayfield at the end of the Minnesota game and is in line to make his potential first professional start as Tampa Bay prepares to face the Green Bay Packers.
