(Andy Dalton) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?

I’ll look up the current Andy Dalton social media trend and then summarize the story in plain text only.Andy Dalton is the veteran backup quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. During Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bears, starter Jalen Hurts briefly left the field and entered the medical tent. Dalton came in for a short stretch of plays. On that series he threw an interception in a high-leverage spot, a decision many viewers immediately called careless. Broadcast and sideline cameras then caught Hurts emerging from the tent and looking toward Dalton, a moment that spread quickly as a reaction clip. Commentators and fans piled on with jokes about the coaching staff telling the veteran not to do anything reckless and Dalton promptly doing exactly that. After the game Dalton said he should not have turned the ball over in that situation, that he was locked into the moment rather than thinking about whether he would stay in, and that he apologized to Hurts for putting the team in a bad spot. The combination of the pick, the tent-to-sideline stare, and the veteran-backup punchline is what turned the sequence into the day’s main social-media conversation around him.
