Investigators are looking into a new possible ransom note and related social media posts regarding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, nearly eight months after she went missing from her Tucson-area home.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and a joint FBI task force stated that they were recently made aware of this new potential note and are working to evaluate its credibility. Authorities and the FBI have previously received multiple notes following the 84-year-old’s disappearance on February 1, some of which were determined to be illegitimate extortion attempts, while others remained under investigation.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing after failing to show up for a church service. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with her disappearance, though a substantial reward remains offered for information.
