(lamine yamal) What is the story behind this trend in Social Media today?
30-09-2026
Lamine Yamal dominated social media today because of his performance for Spain against Croatia in the Nations League. Spain won 4-1 in Seville, and the teenager scored twice while adding an assist. He opened the scoring inside the first two minutes, repeating the early-goal trick he produced against England a few days earlier. Later he added a second goal and created another for teammate Marc Pubill. One of his celebrations involved sitting on the ball in a style reminiscent of Thierry Henry. The display added to an already exceptional start to the season across club and country, with a high number of goals and assists in a short span of matches. It also fed ongoing conversation about the Ballon d’Or, whose voting period has already closed. Yamal himself later described the night as simply “one more” argument in that discussion while stressing that he plays for the team and the fans rather than the award.Clips of the early goal, the second strike, the celebration, and his overall influence on the match circulated widely, turning the result into the main football talking point of the day.
