Caleb Flynn, a former “American Idol” contestant and pastor, was found guilty of murdering his wife, Ashley Flynn.

The trial centered on the events surrounding Ashley’s death in February at their home in Tipp City, Ohio. Prosecutors presented evidence that Flynn shot his wife while he was involved in an extramarital affair, and subsequently tried to stage the crime scene to make it look like a home invasion. Key evidence included text messages detailing motives and plans, as well as digital communications leading up to the incident.

A Miami County jury found Flynn guilty on all counts, which included aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. Following the verdict, his sentencing was scheduled for October.
