Key reasons behind the buzz:

• Surpassing the 40-Homer Mark: Rice recently hit his 40th and 41st home runs of the season, tying for the American League home run lead and becoming only the latest player in Yankees history to log a 40-homer campaign.

• Exceeding Expectations: He shattered manager Aaron Boone’s preseason prediction of 39 home runs, establishing himself as one of New York’s primary offensive anchors.

• Postseason Spotlight: With Aaron Judge sidelined for the AL Wild Card Series against the Boston Red Sox, Rice has stepped into the national spotlight as the focal point of the Yankees’ lineup.
