30-09-2026
The trend today is the sudden comeback announcement of the Japanese music unit supercell. After a long stretch of limited activity, the group revealed it is restarting and has a new song titled Yoru to Ao. The vocalist is yanaginagi, who sang some of their best-known earlier work. The track is the theme song for the upcoming theatrical anime Mahoutsukai no Yoru, the ufotable film adaptation of the Type-Moon visual novel, scheduled for release in November.supercell first rose to fame in the late 2000s through Vocaloid tracks and then through original songs with live vocalists that became anthems of that era’s anime and internet music scene. The combination of the original vocalist returning and a high-profile Type-Moon project immediately connected with people who grew up with those songs, which is why the announcement spread quickly across social media.
