30-09-2026
数珠丸恒次 is one of the legendary Tenka Goken, a historically famous tachi associated with Nichiren and now held as an Important Cultural Property. In popular culture it appears as a character in games such as Touken Ranbu and Monster Strike. The current social-media spike comes from Monster Strike. In late September 2026 the game announced that all five Tenka Goken characters, including 数珠丸恒次, would receive the major “獣神化・改” upgrade. Official posts revealed new artwork, animation, and abilities, and a promotional campaign let players request a free pull of one of the five swords by quoting the character name. Fans immediately began posting about which sword they wanted, sharing the new visuals, and discussing the upgraded performance of 数珠丸恒次 in particular. That concentrated burst of game news and fan reaction is what turned the name into a trend.
