This update provides context to his prolonged absence from competitive golf throughout 2026. After playing just once early in the year, he stepped away and skipped every major championship, initially citing an extended personal and family health matter. The revelation of his stay in treatment comes alongside other off-course challenges, including past public battles with gambling addiction, reported misconduct allegations that his camp has addressed, and broader uncertainties around his competitive future.
