Here is a summary of the news reported in the article:
Michael Carrick’s Situation and Sack TimelinePoor Start to the Season: Manchester United have struggled at the beginning of the campaign under Michael Carrick, collecting only five points from their first five Premier League matches and getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Brighton, despite a Champions League win over Sabah.
Assessment Deadline: Manchester United co-owners INEOS have decided to stick with Carrick for the time being, but the November international break has been earmarked as a critical assessment checkpoint.
Crucial Fixture Run: The club’s hierarchy will evaluate Carrick’s future based on team performances in an upcoming run of fixtures featuring matches against Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, Leeds United, and Como. These matches are viewed internally as important tests to see if Carrick can turn the momentum around.
Eddie Howe: According to journalist Dean Jones (via FlashScore), INEOS holds strong admiration for Eddie Howe, who left Newcastle United at the end of last season and is currently available without a club. While Howe remains a figure of interest, the club has not yet made formal contact with any potential candidates.
Antonio Conte: Reports from Italian media, specifically Corriere della Sera, indicate that Antonio Conte is also high on Manchester United’s shortlist. Conte left Napoli at the end of last season and is likewise currently unattached.
